Backyard Baseball is a video game which was created in the year 1997. It was published and developed by Humongous Entertainment, Inc.

The game was released in the United States for Windows and Macintosh. This is a game which lets you feel like a kid again and look back at all those childhood memories of baseball. GamePlay –

• In the game, players can choose from different fields like the sandlot, the rich kid’s backyard and the urban parking lot. Pitchers can throw pitches such as the “Crazy ball” and the “Elevator”. The ambience which is provided also adds to the overall effect of the game.
• There are 30 neighbourhood kids that the player can choose from and as the game progresses, players can easily unlock and gain access to more professional players such as Randy and Barry Bonds.
• Players can compete against opponents by playing an exhibition game or a 14, 16 or 32 game season which is followed by the “Backyard Baseball League” playoffs. This contains the American League and National League divisional series and the AL and NL championship series. The final game is the “Backyard Baseball World Series”.

When your in the field and you get a pop fly press the space bar and if you can still see the blue dotfor where the ball was hit put your arrow on the dot and then press the space bar again and then click on the blue dot.

When you hit a pop fly tap escape 3 times. If you don't tap escape 3 times in three seconds it won't work.

When you look at pictures of players in thebackground, it will be different colors. Thesecolors are blue, orange, and green. When thebackground of a player is blue, that player isgoing to have a bad day. When the background of aplayer is orange, that player is going to have agreat day. When a player's background is green,that player is going to have an average day.

When you make your team put a good batter then abad batter and you can get a double run sometimes.

When you strike the other team out, you will here a sound and get a different pitch (Fireball, Big Freeze, Corkscrew, Spitball, etc). Each special pitch will make your juice go down.Sometimes you will get more juice instead of a special pitch.

When playing the CPU, get a person on first. If the computer hits a grounder, throw to second then first. If the play is turned correctly, you will hear a sound get either an Aluminum Power, Screaming Line Drive, Under Grounder, or Crazy Bunt.
